Built in 1927, the Old Auditorium is one of few original buildings remaining on the UBC campus today. This 700-seat music hall was fully renovated in 2010 to become the home of UBC Opera and UBC Symphony Orchestra. Upgrades included the replacement of the fly tower’s original sandbag system with a professional counterweight rigging system and new, state-of-the-art stage lighting systems.
