Robert Hamilton – Principal
Robert Hamilton is a Principal and Senior Theatre Consultant at DWD. Possessing an MFA in Theatre Design from the University of British Columbia, Robert is a passionate and insightful design innovator with an innate love for the performing arts.
Over the past 25 years with DWD, Robert has spearheaded more than 50 design projects across Western Canada, including the development of the River Rock Casino Theatre, Bell Performing Arts Centre, and the restoration of UBC’s prized Old Auditorium.
Robert has taught in Douglas College’s Stagecraft and Event Technology Program since 1989. He is an active member of the Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology and the OISTAT Architecture Commission.
Robert volunteers annually with Long Reach Long Riders and First Night Riders, motorcycle tours in aid of theatrical charities.
